College of Arts & Sciences

General questions about the curriculum should be answered by your Summer Academic Counselor (SAC). For questions regarding courses in or about majors in specific departments or programs your SAC cannot answer, consult the list of faculty who have agreed to answer questions from incoming students relating to their department and their course offerings. You will learn who your official academic adviser is once you are on campus.

If you are in a Bachelor of Arts degree program, your Foundation Seminar instructor will serve as your academic adviser until you declare a major in the sophomore year.  If you are in a Bachelor of Science degree program, you will have an adviser in your major, and your Foundation Seminar instructor will serve as a second adviser just for the first semester.

You will receive your schedule in early August. With adviser permission, you will be able to change into open classes on the Friday before classes start. You will have an additional opportunity to make changes during the drop/add period (the first two weeks of classes).

College of Engineering
