The First-Year Integration Series (FYIS) is designed specifically for Bucknell's first-year students to help you navigate your first year successfully. Each workshop will be presented by a faculty or staff member and will provide you with knowledge and tools that will provide a foundation for your tenure at the University. You will have the opportunity to select from a variety of workshops to complete requirements in five categories:

  • Academic Success
  • Diversity, Inclusion and Social Justice
  • Exploration and Leadership
  • Health & Wellness
  • Community Standards

All first-year students will be automatically enrolled in the FYIS curriculum through the INvolvement Network, which is linked through myBucknell. Instructions on how to access this database will be provided during Orientation along with a list of available workshop dates for sessions in each category.

Students must attend one workshop in each of the five categories by Friday, Oct. 20 in order to satisfy this mandatory requirement. Your progress towards completion will be visible to you in the INvolvement Network database. Once you have your fall course schedule finalized, we recommend that you review the list of workshops and add sessions directly to your student calendar to ensure completion.
