Medical Record Requirement

All incoming students are required to submit a Medical Record Form (pdf) to Bucknell Student Health prior to arrival on campus.

A physical exam is part of the medical record requirement, so please schedule an appointment with a health practitioner as soon as possible to ensure your form is completed and returned to Bucknell Student Health (BSH) by June 15.

All VARSITY ATHLETES will be sent an additional Athletic Medical Form that also must be completed and returned to Bison Athletics.

Health Insurance

All full-time students are required to have medical insurance. Bucknell makes available Student Health Insurance for those not currently under a health insurance plan.

Students must enroll in or waive out of the health insurance coverage offered through the University by Aug. 23.

Services you receive at Bucknell Student Health will be billed to your insurance, so it is important that when you arrive at Bucknell you are familiar with your health insurance plan and have a copy of your health insurance card with you. You should know if your health insurance:

  • Covers services in the Lewisburg area;
  • Covers in-network or out-of-network providers, or if it offers coverage other than emergency care;
  • Requires pre-certification for medical testing (i.e. blood tests, x-rays, etc.) or for referrals to specialists;
  • Provides prescription coverage and if it requires a copayment.
