Professors used the new storm water retention basins on the South Campus (where the cornfields behind the library used to be) as a laboratory for CENG 320 Water Resources Engineering. Each student was provided with an iPad to view a .pdf drawing of the stormwater system design as well as to take notes and pictures. The lab gave the students the chance to read construction plans, analyze reinforced reservoir routing computations, and evaluate hard versus sustainable/green design for storm water collection systems.
