On October 15, 2005, Bucknell alumni, friends and students enjoyed a behind-the-scenes tour of the Yuengling Brewery, America’s oldest brewery, in Pottsville, PA. Alumni were joined by eight chemical engineering students and Margot Vigeant, Asst. Professor of Chemical Engineering. The tour included a step-by-step approach of the steps in the brewing cycle including the fermentation and filtration cycles and ending with the bottling and packaging processes. At the conclusion of the tour the group enjoyed a reception that provided an opportunity for the alumni and students to speak about career paths and student life at Bucknell today.
