Step 1

Submit a completed application, a PDF copy of your Academic Progress Report, and a completed endorsement from your academic adviser. 

Step 2

Once you receive notice from the Grand Challenge Scholars Program Director that your application has been approved, you must complete an online non-credit-bearing learning module on the Grand Challenges (which covers key topics addressed in the GC Foundation Seminar and will be available in May 2015) and submit an acceptable 2000 word paper on the Grand Challenge of your choice within 9 months.  The purpose of this paper is encourage you to identify the Grand Challenge that is of most interest to you and to get a sense for the related research needs.
