Dr. Vaji Farhadi joined Bucknell University in Fall 2022. She specializes in formal optimization algorithms for resource allocation problems in distributed networks. She has worked on resource allocation for control networks of smart grid systems, 5th and future generation cellular networks, as well as cloud and edge computing. Currently, she is working on resource allocation problems considering Machine Learning techniques. Vaji's peer-reviewed contributions have appeared in top-tier venues such as the IEEE International Conference on Computer Communications (INFOCOM), IEEE/ACM Transactions on Networking (ToN), and IEEE Transactions on Network Science and Engineering (TNSE). She received a Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from the Pennsylvania State University in May 2022.
