Katie Malague is director of the U.S. Treasury Department’s Office of Strategic Planning and Performance Improvement. In this capacity, Katie oversees the department's strategy and performance programs, including agency planning, organizational reviews, process improvement, change management, and internal consulting.
In her prior role as a performance manager with the White House Office of Management and Budget (OMB), Katie led interagency initiatives to improve federal program performance, management, and efficiency. Before joining OMB, Katie was a senior program manager with the Partnership for Public Service, where she led the Ready to Govern initiative, which focused on presidential transitions and federal management priorities.
Following the 2008 presidential election, Katie served on the transition team at the federal Office of Personnel Management, providing incoming administration officials and key advisors with information needed to make policy and personnel decisions prior to the inauguration. She was previously a manager in Accenture’s federal government management consulting practice, a regional director for a presidential campaign, and a staff member for a U.S. Senator.
Katie is a graduate of Bucknell University and Harvard University. From 2006 to 2014, she served on Bucknell’s Alumni Association Board of Directors, concluding with a term as its president. She currently serves on the Bucknell Institute for Public Policy Advisory Board.
