The Center for Sustainability & the Environment (BCSE) collaborates with the Bucknell community and partner organizations to present meaningful programs for multi-faceted interdisciplinary interaction and creative learning for students, faculty, staff, the broader regional community, and the world. Annual symposia, ongoing speaker series, workshops, participation in national and international conferences, and mentored summer research opportunities provide diverse opportunities to promote positive change through interactions with a broader community.

Environmental Humanities

The Environmental Humanities approach the study of the non-human world from the humanistic disciplines - literature, creative writing, religious studies, philosophy, history, classics, comparative humanities, and the arts. At Bucknell, faculty and staff from across these disciplines gather to share research, discuss ideas, offer programs and courses, showcase student scholarship, and develop new initiatives.
