The 2022-24 Library & Information Technology Strategic Plan
Library and information technology environments are changing profoundly, as is Bucknell and higher education as a whole. For Library & Information Technology to succeed in our mission, we must be able to respond to these changes quickly and effectively. Library & Information Technology will address the following strategic focus areas to position ourselves well for the implementation of Bucknell’s strategic plan and adjust accordingly as that plan is finalized.

Library & Information Technology provides leadership, resources and expertise that empower Bucknell students, faculty and staff to engage in intellectual exploration, create and share knowledge, and implement solutions that further the University’s mission.

L&IT offers expertise and services to support the evolving needs of our academic community. We excel in offering access to information and instruction in the use of scholarly and pedagogic tools while championing participation in the Open Access movement.

The information security program at Bucknell exists to help campus constituents understand and manage complex technology risks. L&IT believes it is of utmost importance to protect data from unauthorized loss, disclosure or alteration, and to ensure that systems are available when needed.
