Isolation & Quarantine Meals

To avoid the spread of COVID-19, students may be moved to University-provided isolation housing for isolation or quarantine, or instructed to quarantine in their on-campus residence. Quarantine separates people who are believed to have been exposed to the COVID-19 virus but who are not symptomatic from others who have not been exposed. Isolation separates people who are known or reasonably believed to have been infected with the COVID-19 virus from those who are not infected.

Bucknell will provide three meals per day to students in isolation housing or on-campus quarantine at no additional cost. Meals may be selected from a list of meal options, including meatless selections and simple foods for those who are feeling ill.

For full details about what to expect in isolation housing, see the Student Guide to Isolation, Quarantine & Contact Tracing.

How to Select Your Meals

On your first day in isolation housing or quarantine you will automatically be provided with the chef's selection for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

After you begin isolation or quarantine you will be emailed a form where you can make your selections for upcoming days from the menu below.

  • You can choose one breakfast option per day.
  • For lunch and dinner, you may make two selections as well as a side soup or salad.

Meals must be ordered by 3 p.m. for the following day. For example, order Tuesday's meals by 3 p.m. on Monday. If an order is not received by 3 p.m., the chef's choice of breakfast, lunch and dinner will be provided.

You may order meals up to a week in advance or submit your request day by day. Simply submit another order form with the appropriate date. A separate form will need to be completed for each day.

Opting Out

You may also use the form to opt out of specific meals or all meals. Opting out of meals implies that you have made other arrangements to have meals delivered to your room. If you do not communicate meal preferences, meals will still be provided.
