Ohiopyle State Park

Challenge Level: light

No prior climbing or whitewater experience is required. The biking is flat on a rail trail; you should have basic biking skills. We use a guide service for whitewater rafting. We will teach you everything else you need to know!

Ohiopyle State Park is located at the south end of Laurel Ridge and along the Youghiogheny River Gorge, encompassing more than 20,000 acres of natural landscape. The "Yough" provides some of the best whitewater boating in the East Coast, in addition to plentiful hiking, biking, climbing and camping. With more than 75 miles of trail, it serves as a great showcase to the park’s natural beauty and is considered the "Outdoor Mecca of Pennsylvania."
