Student Transit

First-year students are not permitted to have vehicles on campus, but Bucknell offers many options to help you get where you need to go through the Student Transit program.

Downtown Shuttle

In the Lewisburg area, the University offers a downtown shuttle, medical transportation and a car-sharing program.

Our daily downtown shuttle loops from campus to the Barnes & Noble University Bookstore, Evangelical Hospital, Weis Markets and the Walmart on Route 15. The fixed route and timetables are available here. Anyone with a valid BUID card may ride the downtown shuttle for no charge.

Medical Transportation

Bucknell Student Health arranges for nonemergency health referrals off campus. Students can request medical transport online.

Zipcars are conveniently located on campus. This car-sharing program is open to all students who are 18 or older with a valid driver's license and good driving record. Submit a Zipcar membership application online.

Airport and Train Station Shuttles

Bucknell offers transportation to airports and train stations during University breaks and at the beginning and end of the fall and spring semester.

Our break shuttles serve multiple airports, the Harrisburg Transportation Center, greater New England and greater New York.
