LEWISBURG, Pa. — Bucknell University's Department of Art and Art History will host an Open House Thursday, Nov. 7, in two locations.
"This event will begin at the Art Building from 5 to 5:45 p.m., and then continue at the Art Barn from 5:45 to 7 p.m.," according to Joe Meiser, assistant professor of art in sculpture at Bucknell.
Student artwork in painting, sculpture, printmaking and photography will be on display.
In addition to art activities including hand casting, the printmaking studio will offer several hands-on activities and demonstrations, including relief and intaglio print demos, a community-carved wood block, and a build your own Art Barn 3-D souvenir print.
"All students, faculty, staff and their families, as well as members of the local community, are welcome to attend," Meiser said.
The Art Building is located at the corner of Walker and Loomis streets on the Bucknell campus.
The Art Barn is located on Smoketown Road near the golf course. Shuttle service will be provided from campus — at Vedder Circle — to the facility. There is ample parking for visitors who drive to the Art Barn.
