LEWISBURG, Pa. — The Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at Bucknell University will host the workshop, "Technology Commercialization: A Tactical Approach to Launching New Products," Tuesday, Oct. 22, from 9 to 11:45 a.m. at the SBDC Business Education Center in the DeWitt Building in Lewisburg.

The workshop will explore the topics of intellectual property, product development and new product marketing.

Steve Overholt, author of Mastering Technology Commercialization, will lead the workshop. Overholt is an entrepreneur with five patents and several products introduced to market. He is an innovation speaker at the U.S. Patent Office, Gannon and Duquesne universities, and other tech innovation conferences across the United States.

Overholt will explain how to lead product innovation by understanding the tools and tactics required, avoiding pitfalls, learning to market on a limited budget, and connecting with resources at the Innovative Manufacturers' Center, SBDC and in Bucknell's College of Engineering and School of Management.

Registration for this workshop is $35 per firm; veterans may attend at no cost. Registrants will receive a copy of Overholt's book, Mastering Technology Commercialization.
