LEWISBURG, Pa. — The Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at Bucknell University will host the discussion, "Dishing the Realities of Restaurant Management," Wednesday, Sept. 18, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at Hall's Ice Cream. The business is located at 861 Raccoon Valley Road in Millerstown.
Local restaurateurs will join representatives from the SBDC and the Perry County Chamber of Commerce at a roundtable to discuss how to finance a restaurant, how to attract customers and what obstacles exist and how to overcome them in the food service business.
Dennis Hummer, a business consultant with the SBDC and formerly the Muffin Man in Danville, will facilitate the discussion.
Attendees will be treated to a light luncheon and ice cream desserts, provided by Hall's Dairy, immediately following the discussion.
The cost to attend this event is $25 for general public, $15 for Perry County Chamber members. Registration is required as seating is limited. To register, visit www.bucknell.edu/sbdc, call the SBDC at 570-577-1249 or email SBDC@bucknell.edu. Veterans may attend at no charge.
