Please note: The KINBER Community Day has been rescheduled. The new date is Thursday, Aug. 14, from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Hunt Hall on the Bucknell campus. The registration deadline has been changed to Friday, Aug. 8.
This regional event is being held to inform and engage the community about the latest developments with KINBER, the Keystone Initiative for Network Based Education and Research, its 1,600-mile broadband network known as PennREN, and the impact of broadband on a community.
Leaders from the Bucknell and KINBER communities will discuss the benefits of a next generation broadband network on healthcare, education, library, public media, economic development, governmental and other organizations. Topics include:
- an overview of KINBER and PennREN
- Union County update
- Success Stories/Recent Adopters
- the Road to Connectivity — Process and Last Mile Solutions
