The Bucknell University Film/Media Series will present the exclusive Central Pennsylvania screening of Actress on Tuesday, Dec. 2, at the Campus Theatre.
Both Robert Greene, the director of the film, and its subject, actress Brandy Burre (best known for her recurring role on HBO's The Wire), will be at the screening for a post-film discussion.
The film begins at 7 p.m. in the Campus Theatre, located at 413 Market St. in Lewisburg. Admission is $2. The event is co-sponsored by the University Lectureship Committee.
Actress, which is Greene's newest film (2014), opened in New York City last week. Even before it opened, Actress was one of the most buzzed-about movies of the year. Now the articles and favorable reviews are flooding in across the country. The film has been nominated for multiple awards, including Cinema Eye Honors and the Gotham Award for Best Documentary.
Bucknell University's Film/Media Screenings include five weekly film series — four of them free of charge — at the Campus Theatre.
