Bucknell University's Department of Art & Art History will host an Open House and Scavenger Hunt Thursday, Nov. 6, in two locations.
This event will begin at the Art Building from 5 to 5:45 p.m., and then continue at the Art Barn from 5:45 to 7 p.m., according to Janice Mann, chair of the Department of Art & Art History.
Student artwork in painting, sculpture, design, printmaking, and photography will be on display. Guests will have the opportunity to participate in a scavenger hunt and enjoy refreshments.
Participants in the scavenger hunt must find reproductions artworks in the Art Building and the Art Barn. Lists of the works of art to be found will be in both locations. The first 50 people to find and submit the artworks will receive prizes. First prize is a $50 gift Lewisburg gift certificate; second, third and fourth prizes are $25 gift certificates. The next 50 players to submit will receive Purity Candy chocolate bison.
All students, faculty, staff and their families, as well as members of the local community, are welcome to attend.
The Art Building is located at the corner of Walker and Loomis streets on the Bucknell campus.
The Art Barn is located on Smoketown Road near the golf course. Shuttle service will be provided from campus — at Vedder Circle — to the facility. There is ample parking for visitors who drive to the Art Barn.
