Global Entrepreneurship Week
The SBDC and Bucknell have begun preparations for the celebration of Global Entrepreneurship Week in November. This event is the world's largest celebration of the innovators and job creators who launch startups that bring ideas to life, drive economic growth and expand human welfare. Bucknell will celebrate GEW with the Business Pitch Competition; a "Shark Tank" style event featuring the best, brightest, and most driven entrepreneurs on campus. To learn more about the Business Pitch Competition, or "#BizPitch14", visit www.bucknell.edu/bizpitch
Ahead of that competition, individuals from the community are invited to come to Tech Meetup Lewisburg to learn of preparations for #BizPitch14, and to join in the celebration of startup culture of the region. Attendees will hear "business pitches" from entrepreneurs from this region and network with members of the Bucknell University Entrepreneurs Incubator.
Part of a monthly series of events, the next Tech Meetup Lewisburg will held on Tuesday, Oct. 28, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Bucknell University Entrepreneurs Incubator, located on the second floor of the DeWitt Building, 416 Market St. in Lewisburg. There is no fee for this event; a light lunch will be provided.
