Professor Roger Rothman, Art & Art History

From metabolites to modern art, gastronomy to global economics, Bucknell’s newest full professors are experts across the arts & sciences. They discuss their work and share the inspiration for their teaching and research in newly posted profiles.

The 10 faculty members received full professorship following intensive review by their academic colleagues and approval by the Board of Trustees last April.

“The rank of full professor is the highest promotion a professor can earn, and represents the culmination of academic and teaching excellence over the span of many years,” said Provost Barbara Altmann. “Every outstanding university depends on its full professors as a brain trust, as mentors and as trailblazers in their respective fields, who set the model of continuous active engagement in teaching and scholarship.”

This is the first of a three-part series of faculty profiles. Next week, meet Bucknell's newly tenured professors. || See all faculty profiles
