What better way to say farewell to summer and hello to fall than with an on-campus carnival? Bucknell University's Fall Fest 2016 was held Saturday, Sept. 17, on the football practice field before the Bison took on Cornell in the football team's home opener. Coordinated by Campus Activities and Programs and a student committee, the event featured 12 kinds of finger foods, a beer garden (for students 21 and older), carnival rides, student performers and lots of giveaways. This year's headliner was singer Jesse McCartney.

"Fall Fest has always been a fun event that gets a large portion of the campus together," said Hallie King '17, co-director of the Fall Fest marketing team. "I have worked on the committee the past three years, and it has always given me an interesting and educational perspective of the event. I love Fall Fest and how much energy there is."

"Fall Fest is a really splendid opportunity for young artists to perform in an outdoor festival setting," said Jackson Pierce-Felker '18, one of the students who took the stage on Saturday. "Every time I get a chance to perform at Fall Fest, it reinvigorates my passion and reminds me why I do what I do." Photo by Daniel Gevirtz '16
