The Samek Art Museum at Bucknell University returns to the Old Forge Brewing Company Oct. 15 to pair beer with artwork from the museum's collection. The event begins at 7 p.m. and is open to the public aged 21 or older.

Guests will sample a selection of beers while appreciating some of the Samek's diverse collection of more than 5,500 works of art. They can learn more about the art and the beer — and how they relate to each other — from Samek staff and bartenders who will guide conversation throughout the tasting.

Tickets are timed on the hour beginning at 7 p.m. and are $10 advanced purchase, $15 at the door. They can be purchased at Old Forge Brewing Company, 298 Mill St., Danville, PA, and the Danville Business Alliance at 346 Mill St., Danville, PA. Admission includes a tasting flight of beers.

This is the second time the Samek has partnered with Old Forge, and the fourth Art in Bars event. "We're pleased to go back to Danville for this event to further our great arts partnership with the town and Old Forge," said Samek Art Museum Director Richard Rinehart.

This event is co-presented in partnership with the Samek Art Museum, the Danville Business Alliance and the Danville Arts Council. For more information, contact Greg Stuart, public programs and outreach manager, at 570-577-3981 or via email
