The Department of Theatre & Dance will present a pair of student-directed plays during Family Weekend.

'Dentity Crisis and The Actor's Nightmare by Christopher Durang will be performed Friday and Saturday, Sept. 25-26, at 7:30 p.m. in the Harvey M. Powers Theatre. Tickets are $5.

Auditions for the plays, directed by Alex Golden '17, were open only to students new to Bucknell this semester. Both productions feature absurd comedy.

In 'Dentity Crisis, a woman (Barclay Wohlsetter '19) returns home after suffering a nervous breakdown and encounters strange and erratic behavior from family members. The Actor's Nightmare centers on the chaos that ensues when an accountant/amateur actor (Jake Malavsky '19) suddenly finds himself taking over the lead role in a play for which he is an understudy.

All seats at the Harvey M. Powers Theatre are reserved. Tickets can be purchased at the door, by calling 570-577-1000, online, at the Weis Center Box Office (weekdays 10 a.m.-4 p.m.) or at the CAP Center Box office on the first floor of the Elaine Langone Center (weekdays 10 a.m.-4 p.m.).

Online and box office purchases should be made by noon Friday during performance weekends. Tickets may be purchased on the night of the performance at the venue beginning one hour before the curtain rises.
