Mnozil Brass, which takes its name from the Gasthaus Mnozil, a restaurant across the street from the Vienna Conservatory, has established itself as one of the world's premier brass ensembles. Its performances seamlessly blend original compositions with classical favorites, jazz standards and popular hits. The repertoire is presented with the group's iconic humor and wit in scenes so clever, they would be worthy of Monty Python.

Prior to the performance, patrons are invited to enjoy a free local artists' exhibit from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.in the Weis Center lobby kicking off the Susquehanna River Arts Fifth Annual Studio Tour on April 9 and 10. There will also be a post-performance reception with the artists in the Weis Center lobby.

The concert is sponsored in part by the Columbia-Montour Visitors Bureau and the Susquehanna River Arts initiative. This event is dedicated in loving memory of Bucknell Professor Slava Yastremski, who passed away last fall.
