Balkan World Music Comes to Bucknell for Free Performance
September 28, 2016

World music and classical ensemble Aritmia will perform on Wednesday, Sept. 28, at 7:30 p.m. in the Weis Center Atrium Lobby. The performance is free and open to the public and tickets are not required.
Aritmia is made up of accordionist Merima Ključo and guitarist Miroslav Tadić, two celebrated instrumentalists that ruminate on their common roots and shared loves of traditional Balkan and classical music. In a program that includes original compositions as well as arrangements of Manuel de Falla and the mournful music of sevdah — sometimes called "Bosnian blues" — this virtuosic pair shares the fruits of their unique musical partnership, offering a singular mix of joy, yearning and aching beauty.
For more information about this free performance contact Lisa Leighton, marketing and outreach director, at 570-577-3727 or by email.
