Jose Rivera's Obie award-winning play wrestles with questions concerning the helpless and homeless with humor, absurdity and above all, humanity. It follows the story of Marisol Perez, a Bronx-born Puerto Rican in her 20s and a copy editor in a New York publishing firm. The underbelly of the city threatens her friends and safety, and she fights for survival in an apocalyptic world like Alice wandering through a nightmarish wonderland. From the onset, her guardian angel appears to her in a dream and proclaims that she must join the revolution to salvage the fate of the universe.
