The Coal Collections series will kick off its spring semester programming with a panel titled "Athletics in the Anthracite Coal Region" on Thursday, Jan. 26, at noon in the Weis Center Atrium Lobby. This event is free and open to the public.

Drew Kelly from local radio station 94 KX will moderate two panel discussions about the relationship between the coal region and its athletes. The first group of panelists will include current Bucknell student-athletes as well as Bucknell Hall of Fame alumni Jennifer Yuengling '93, Clifford Melberger '61, M'62, GP'14 and Pat Flannery '80, M'83. The second group will feature local sports commentators Chuck Souders and Tommy Ryan, former Major League Baseball relief pitcher Steve Kline and former NFL fullback Henry Hynoski Sr. 

This talk, as well as all noon lunch presentations of the Coal Collections series, is presented by the Weis Center and the Place Studies program of the Bucknell Center for Sustainability & the Environment.
