Lance Fritz '85, chairman, president and chief executive officer of Union Pacific, will be the final featured speaker in the 2015 Walling Lecture Series on Thursday, Nov. 12, at 7 p.m. in Trout Auditorium. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and admission is free.

Presented by the School of Management, the annual series brings highly accomplished Bucknellians to campus for on-stage interviews in which they share their leadership story and discuss their evolution as leaders.    

Fritz previously served as president and chief operating officer of Union Pacific Railroad, a position he had held since February 2014, after serving as executive vice president of operations and vice president of labor relations, respectively. He began his Union Pacific career in 2000 as vice president and general manager of energy in the company's marketing and sales department.  

Before joining Union Pacific, Fritz worked for Fiskars Inc., Cooper Industries and General Electric. After graduating from Bucknell, he earned a master's degree in management from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.  

Fritz serves on a number of industry boards and committees, is chairman of the United Way of the Midlands Board of Directors, and serves on the boards of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the Omaha Symphony.
