The Bucknell University Opera Theatre will present two showings of Rodgers and Hammerstein's Carousel on Nov. 11 and 12,  at 7:30 p.m. in the Weis Center. Admission is free for both performances and they are open to the public.

The setting for this classic is the Maine coastline and the story revolves around Billy Bigelow, the carousel's barker, and Julie Jordan, an innocent millworker. A romance between the two causes both to lose their jobs, which leads Billy to commit robberies to provide for Julie and their unborn child. Things go wrong for Billy but he is given a chance to make it right.
