LEWISBURG, Pa. — The Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at Bucknell University will offer two "Quickbooks for Small Business Owners" workshops Wednesday, Nov. 9, in the Mifflinburg Bank Community Room, 250 E. Chestnut St. in Mifflinburg.

Quickbooks Reports will be held from 9 a.m. to noon. Topics to be covered include five key reports for bookkeepers or accountants: transaction journal and transaction history, adjusting journal entries report, working trial balance tool and report, and using detail reports with debit and credit columns.

Quickbooks Tips and Tricks will be offered from 1 to 4 p.m. Topics to be covered include reminders, to-do lists, group reporting, keyboard shortcuts, importing from Excel to update lists, exporting for improved reports and budgeting, exporting and importing from one company to another, copying templates and downloading templates from the Intuit website.

Diana Dorman, a seminar instructor and small business Quickbooks consultant with 15 years' Quickbooks training experience, will lead the seminars. An independent consultant to small business clients, she trained under Real World Training for Quickbooks and is a Certified Quickbooks Pro Adviser.

Participants will receive one-year subscriptions to Inc. and Susquehanna Business Life magazines. Participants may bring laptops with Quickbooks installed to the workshops.

Co-sponsors of Bucknell SBDC seminar programs are the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development; Bucknell University; Brush Valley, Central Pennsylvania, Greater Susquehanna Valley, Middlecreek Valley and Perry County Chambers of Commerce; Danville Business Alliance; Watsontown Area Business Association; and The Daily Item, The Standard-Journal, Inc. and Susquehanna Business Life magazine.

The Bucknell SBDC provides free small business consulting services to residents of Juniata, Montour, Northumberland, Perry, Snyder and Union counties.
