Accomplishments/areas of interest/selected publications: Research in environmental humanities and premodern cultures, especially Anglo-Saxon, Middle English, Celtic, and Icelandic. Co-edited a book collection of studies on JRR Tolkien's fantasy in modern contexts, and articles on nature and landscape in early traditions. Supervising projects on early literature and landscape in the Susquehanna Valley as environmental humanities coordinator for the Bucknell Environmental Center. Teaches medieval and fantasy literature courses.
