Interior Design Inspiration

Design by Jackie Feeney ’10,
design assistant at Eve Robinson Associates in NYC

"College is a busy time for students. Designing a calming bedroom is essential to getting away from the hustle and bustle of daily life. I designed this room in a mostly cool palette of blues and greys, which have an overall soothing effect. The rug, window treatment and closet fabric curtain are all inviting textiles with  minimal pattern. I livened up the space by accenting the main palette with complementary bedding and art. Red-orange brings this room to life, as does the personalized grouping of art and a bulletin board for mementos. A new desk chair and task lamp are the easiest and most impactful ways of bringing your style to a blank canvas — and they're items you can use in the future. The total package is a relaxing room fit for any Bucknell student!"
