Travel back in time, and become ready to alter the future — for the better, of course. Study history to understand the nature, advantages, and struggles of human societies in different times and places.

In Bucknell's history program you will learn to think critically, argue logically, write analytically and make cross-cultural comparisons. These are skills you'll be able to use in any career!

Did You Know?

About 700 students are enrolled in history courses per year.

Bucknell offers both a major and a minor in history.

Bucknell history professors teach a common course, offering students an opportunity to study together and learn "the historians' craft."
