LEWISBURG, Pa. — The Perry County Council of the Arts (PCCA) and Bucknell University's Small Business Development Center (SBDC) will host a free prebusiness workshop Wednesday, July 13, at 6:30 p.m. in the PCCA Gallery, located at One S. Second St. in Newport .
Maureen Hauck, assistant director for business consulting for the Bucknell SBDC, will lead the discussion.
Topics include start-up procedures and forms, legal structure for your business, business location choices, insurance issues, special licenses and permits, hiring employees, taxes, developing a business plan, market determination, the financial plan, resources for the entrepreneur and financing myths.

With the Bucknell SBDC since March 2000, Hauck brings 20 years of business experience including retail management, advertising, salesmanship, and personnel management to the position of assistant director. She holds degrees in business administration and secondary education from Bloomsburg University.
The PCCA Gallery is open Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The program is part of PCCA's monthly artist night held the second Wednesday of each month.
