LEWISBURG, Pa. — Three people have been named to five-year terms with the Board of Trustees at Bucknell University, effective July 1.
They are: Robert Bonelli, president and chief operating officer of Northeast Securities Inc. in New York City; Juanita O.L. Brown, president of Brown Business Consulting LLC, headquartered in Teaneck, N.J.; and William Graham IV, president, CEO and chairman of The Graham Company, Philadelphia.
Bonelli and his wife, Ruth, are the parents of two Bucknell graduates, Robert, who graduated in 2003, and Matthew, a member of the Class of 2007. They have been active members of the Parents Board for several years. Bonelli will complete his term as president of the Parents Board in July. A 1972 graduate of the Polytechnic University of New York, Bonelli is active in a variety of community affairs in New Jersey and serves as deacon of the Lamington Presbyterian Church.
A 1969 graduate of the University of Chicago and Columbia University, Brown serves on the board of the New York Foundling Hospital and is a member of its finance and governance committees. She also is one of the founders of the National Black MBA Association.
Graham, who graduated from Bucknell in 1962 with a degree in business management, captained the wrestling team to an undefeated dual meet season in his senior year. As an alumnus, he has donated funds to restore wrestling to varsity status as well as expanding women's athletics. A former trustee of Bryn Mawr Presbyterian Church, Graham is active in other areas of the church.
In addition, four trustees were granted emeritus status. Norm Garrity, Painted Post, N.Y., a 1963 graduate, served 10 years on the board and chaired the presidential search committee. Ernie Kalman, Bedford, N.Y., who graduated in 1956, began his service on the board in 1993. Sam Posner, Boca Raton, Fla., a 1956 graduate, was elected to the board as an alumni trustee in 1980 and was re-elected to the board in 1985. Art Kinney, Lake Barrington Shores, Ill., who graduated in 1956, served 19 years on the board, beginning in 1986. For his years of service, dedication and loyalty to Bucknell, Kinney also received the Stephen W. Taylor Medal in April.
