LEWISBURG, Pa. — The Bucknell University Small Business Development Center (SBDC) will host a free Business Women's Roundtable, Friday, June 22, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at La Primavera Italiano Ristorante, Route 45 West, Lewisburg.
The roundtable discussion, "The Secrets of Successful Networking" will be led by guest speaker entrepreneur Patty Kreamer, president of Kreamer Connect in Pittsburgh.
Named Women's Business Network's 2007 Woman of the Year, Kreamer was honored as one of Pennsylvania’s Best 50 Women in Business and one of Pittsburgh's Fastrackers in 2005.
Discussion topics include the value of networking; the networking handshake; who to approach and how to enter a group cluster as well as how to gracefully exit from a group; how to prepare goals to meet the right people; how to effectively exchange information; and the importance of follow-up. Roundtable participants will leave with their own 'Elevator Speech.'
Local businesswomen will discuss their networking experiences at the free roundtable discussion, which includes a buffet luncheon.
