LEWISBURG, Pa. — The Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at Bucknell University will hold a workshop on customer service Thursday, Oct. 4, from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. in the SBDC Business Education Center, 507 Chamberlin Building, located at the corner of Fifth and Market streets in Lewisburg.
Maureen Hauck, assistant director for business consulting with the Bucknell SBDC, will lead the workshop, addressing such topics as what is customer service, customer definitions of 'appreciation,' and what a business gets out of customer service.
Attendees will evaluate a business on the following basic business service functions: making a purchase, staff, communication, location, advertising, product/service, service what you sell, and complaints. Included is a DVD presentation "Creating the Repeat Customer."
The fee for attending is $30 and includes handouts and refreshments as well as a one-year subscription (12 issues) to Inc. magazine, valued at $10.
