LEWISBURG, Pa. — The Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at Bucknell University will offer three "Quickbooks for Small Business Owners" workshops Oct. 15, 16 and 17 in the Bertrand Library Computer Lab at Bucknell. The lab is located on lower level 1.

The schedule is:

• "Quickbooks Basic" Monday, Oct. 15, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.; system requirements, choosing the appropriate version of Quickbooks, general navigation, setting up your company, setting up the chart of accounts, setting up vendors and customers, company preferences, creating transactions, entering bills/paying bills, reconciling bank accounts.

• "Quickbooks Intermediate" Tuesday, Oct. 16, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.; setting up classes, setting up your budget, journal entries, standard Quickbook reports, memorizing reports, customizing forms and letters, and using the Help Menu/Find feature.

• "Quickbooks Advanced" and "Quickbooks Payroll" Wednesday, Oct. 17, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.; options for payroll, setting up payroll items, employees, and sick and vacation time, how to create and print paychecks, process payroll liabilities, 941 forms and W2s, using time sheets, and creating important reports for payroll as well as customizing invoice templates, importing a logo, invoicing/receiving payments, creating/applying credit, accessing finance charges, creating estimates, and working with inventory.

Diane Dorman, a seminar instructor and small business Quickbooks consultant with more than 14 years' Quickbooks experience, will lead the seminars. Trained under Real World Training for Quickbooks, she is also a Certified Quickbooks Pro Advisor.
