LEWISBURG, Pa. — Criminology professor and columnist Mike Adams will give the talk, "In Defense of the Right to Bear Arms," Thursday, Nov. 15, at 7 p.m. in Olin Lecture Hall at Bucknell University.

The talk, which is free and open to the public, is sponsored by the Bucknell University Conservatives Club and the Bucknell Student Government.

A professor in the criminal justice program at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, Adams is noted for columns on the Heritage Foundation's as well as his appearances on shows such as Hannity and Colmes, and the O'Reilly Factor.

Nick Mozal, president of the Conservatives Club, said, "I am excited Dr. Adams is coming to campus to talk about such an important issue as guns. Gun control on campuses has been put into the national spotlight in the wake of the tragic events at Virginia Tech this past spring. Dr. Adams is going to speak about the protection guns can provide, while also debunking myths surrounding gun control."
