Advance to NCAA Tournament for second time in school history

The 2008 Patriot League champions at Hart Center in Worcester, Mass., Wednesday night.

LEWISBURG, Pa. -- Bucknell defeated Holy Cross 57-45 in the Patriot League championship game Wednesday evening in Worcester, Mass., winning an automatic berth to the NCAA Tournament.

It was Bucknell's second Patriot League title in program history. The last title came in 2002.

The NCAA Tournament selection show will be broadcast on ESPN Monday, March 17, at 7 p.m. Bison fans are invited to join the team and coaches to watch the ESPN selection broadcast in Elaine Langone Center Forum. The first round of the NCAA Tournament will take place March 22-23.
