LEWISBURG, Pa. — The Samek Art Gallery at Bucknell University will present the annual student art show April 11 to 29.

"The annual show provides Bucknell students, the university community and regional audience an opportunity to view student works," said Dan Mills, director of the Samek Art Gallery.

Introductory to Capstone

"Some of the works were created in drawing, painting, photography, print-making and sculpture classes ranging from introductory to Capstone classes," according to Cynthia Peltier, operations manager of the Samek Art Gallery.

Two senior thesis projects by Janna Shapiro and Hope Heffner are included in the project room portion of the gallery.

The work of photography graduate assistant Rachel Porter and printmaking graduate assistant Rachel Heberling will be in the front portion of the gallery.

"This portion of the show gives undergraduate students a chance to see developing young professionals prepare for a career in the arts," Peltier said.

The Samek Art Gallery is located on the third floor of the Elaine Langone Center. Admission is free. Gallery hours are weekdays 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Thursdays 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.; weekends 1 to 5 p.m., and by appointment.
