LEWISBURG, Pa. – Bucknell University students, faculty and alumni have a passion for learning and the community they share. And they have amazing stories to tell.

Dozens of Bucknellians are featured on the University’s website in regularly updated snapshot profiles that include photographs and in many cases audio clips. You can view them here: students, faculty and alumni.

Learn more about multi-talented students like Will Woods, Class of ’11. A dual major in East Asian studies and electrical engineering, Woods still finds time to sing in two campus groups, the Concert Chorale, and Two Past Midnight, the co-ed a cappella group, and even act in campus stage productions like “Twelfth Night.”

Or Nicole Falcaro, Class of ’09, who is majoring in mathematics and Spanish. Her out-of-class routine includes volunteering at a local dog shelter, running track and increasing environmental awareness on Bucknell’s campus.

Read about teacher-scholars like Berhanu Nega, an associate professor of economics. Just over a year ago, Nega was a political prisoner in an Ethiopian jail, his home country where in 2005 he became the country’s first democratically elected mayor. Or Lisa Marin, an assistant professor of biology, whose research involves studying fruit flies to learn more about the nervous system in humans.

Visit successful alumni like Scott McDaniel, Class of ’86. McDaniel parlayed his love for comic books into a full-time drawing career and today draws one of his favorites, “Batman.”  Or, perhaps, Lee Schwartz, Class of ’76, who today is the official geographer of the United States.
