Class of 2014 senior field trip
Every year in the fall, the Civil & Environmental Engineering senior class is provided a special opportunity for professional development through the Beavers funded field trip. (Founded in 1955, the Beavers is a social, honorary organization formed, organized and managed by the construction companies and individuals who are or have engaged in heavy engineering construction.) This trip provides a great opportunity for students to experience, first-hand, the real world of civil engineering and the ongoing projects in this field.
In September of 2013, the class of 2014 went on a two day field trip to Baltimore, MD and Washington, D.C., led by Professor Beiler and Professor Toole. The trip included visits to constructions sites that provided students with exposure to various civil and environmental engineering sub-disciplines.
We want to thank Clark Construction Group, Turner (Tompkins) Construction, Whiting-Turner Contracting Co. and Forrester Construction Company for hosting visits to their sites!
