Dedicated on Oct. 15, 1955, Swartz Hall was named for James S. Swartz, Trustee from 1884 to 1931 and Chairman of the Board from 1917 to 1931. Swartz Hall houses both upperclass students and first-year students. It's also home to Uptown, a nightclub specifically for Bucknell students.  Swartz Hall is composed of four wings; Hill, Loomis, Malcom and Rainey.
