Dean Zappa departs after 17 years of service

This summer, after 17 years of dedication and service, the University's Dean of Arts and Sciences will be leaving to become Provost at Gettysburg College.

Dean Christopher Zappe began his career at the University in 1993 as a professor in the management department, later becoming an Associate Dean of Faculty in the College of Arts and Sciences in 2002, Interim Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences in 2006 and Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences in Fall 2007.

 


New Paper Products draw student criticism

New paper towel dispensers and toilet tissue products installed all across campus are drawing sharp criticism from students. The University's Facilities department recognized that there are "issues with the new toilet tissue" in a Message Center bulletin Wednesday morning and is exploring solutions to the problem.

The concern most loudly voiced by students is that the new toilet paper is not strong enough for the new dispensers and tears too easily. There have also been complaints about the new "hands-free" design to the paper towel dispensers.
