LEWISBURG, Pa. — The Bucknell University Small Business Development Center (SBDC) will host the workshop, "Writing Your Business Plan," Monday, April 26, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Empire Beauty School in the Orchard Hills Plaza in Shamokin Dam.
Topics to be covered include a title page, table of contents, executive summary (describes the business structure, purpose and goals, marketing strategy, customers management team skills), the company, the market (defines industry, strengths and weaknesses, influences affecting the business and industry, competitors and customers, pricing policy and promotional activities) and the financial plan (profit and loss statements for the first three years, balance sheets and projected cash flows).
Maureen Hauck, assistant director for business consulting with the Bucknell SBDC, will lead the seminar. With the Bucknell SBDC since March 2000, Hauck has more than 20 years of business experience including retail management, marketing, advertising, salesmanship, and personnel management. She holds her degrees in business administration and secondary education from Bloomsburg University.
Registration is $35 and includes handouts and refreshments as well as a one-year subscription (12 issues) to Inc. magazine, valued at $10. Veterans may attend free of charge. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m.
