LEWISBURG, Pa. — Bucknell University will conduct a test of its comprehensive emergency notification system on Tuesday, Sept. 7.

The test, which will start at 9 a.m. and last for about an hour, will include messages broadcast over a campus-wide public address speaker system and messages sent to text, e-mail and phone contacts listed by students, faculty and staff.

The test text will say, "TEST. This is a test of Bucknell's Emergency Notification System. If this was an ALERT more information would follow. This is only a TEST."

During the drills, members of the campus community may be asked to respond to the notifications through phone or e-mail. Instructions for responding will be included in the original messages.
