In 2006, Matthew Hawley decided to pursue a life long passion for gaming and began work at Blizzard Entertainment in Irvine, California, as a producer for Blizzard's multiplayer gaming platform, Battle.net. Now a Senior Game Producer at Blizzard, he is serving as the production lead for Blizzard's newest top-secret "Unannounced MMO (Massive Multiplayer Online) Project." The company is known for its triple-A game franchises: Warcraft, StarCraft, and Diablo.
Matt earned his Bachelor of Science, cum laude, in Computer Science and Engineering from Bucknell in 2003. After graduation, Matt accepted a position in General Electric's Information Management Leadership Program. He worked as a project manager for GE for three years. While an undergraduate at Bucknell, Matt held a number of client services positions in L&IT, then known as Information Services and Resources. He also participated in the Institute for Leadership in Technology and Management (ILTM), chapel choir, Phi Kappa Psi fraternity, and many initiatives in the Office of Student Life, including being the student coordinator for both the 2001 and 2002 Building on Foundations (BoF) programs.
