LEWISBURG, Pa. — The Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at Bucknell University will offer the workshop, "Job Security, Wealth Accumulation and Professional Enjoyment," Wednesday, March 28, from 1 to 3 p.m. in the SBDC Education Center, Room 308, of the DeWitt Building at 416 Market Street in Lewisburg.

Steve Buch, franchise business adviser with FranNet of Philadelphia, and Candice Caruso, senior consultant with BeneTrends, will lead the workshop, which will address buying a business vs. starting a franchise, risk and rewards, franchise myths, simplifying the search and identifying opportunities available to finance your business.

FranNet of Philadelphia is a franchise sales and consulting firm with offices in Yardley and Blue Bell, Pa. Buch advises clients on how to search for and evaluate franchise opportunities. He spent 30 years as a director and general manager for two industry-leading specialty chemical companies. His broad business background encompasses sales, marketing, technical service, operations, and financial management.

In the financial services arena and business management since 1998, Caruso has since 2006 had the opportunity to work with thousands of business owners in opening and successfully running their business. She is FICO Pro certified and a certified Retirement Plan Professional with the American Society of Pension Professionals and actuaries.
